Michelle: As I watched Mike
cast that net and bring in those shad I yearned to try it for myself.
Finally I couldn't stand it anymore- I had to try it. Mike proceeded to
give me instructions on getting ready to throw.
I realized this might be a
little harder than it looks.
I had to stop a moment and
concentrate before I threw.
Well, once I threw it I
knew there was no turning back.
You can tell by my reaction
how it went- not good at all!!
I was sure with such a bad
throw there couldn't possibly be any fish in the net.
Much to my delight there
WAS one fish in there.
I counted it a success
because at least I had fun.
Kelley: These fresh shad
are the key to our success.
We keep the shad in a live
well because the fresher the better, sometimes it can be a tough job to
keep these little guys alive.
